Security Consultations in Paris: New Horizons for Ukraine
An important meeting of national security advisors took place in the French capital, involving several countries including France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Turkey, with representatives from the US, NATO, the European Commission, and the European Council.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, reported this in his Telegram channel.
"Following the directives of President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, we continue our work with partners in Paris. The meeting focused on discussing the specifics of security guarantees, countering Russian aggression, and outlining future steps in the peace process," Umerov noted.
The Ukrainian delegation included Umerov, the head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov, First Deputy Head of the President's Office Serhiy Kyslytsia, and advisor to the President's Office Oleksandr Bevz.
"It is important that our approaches are shifting from political statements to practical solutions. There is a clear understanding of a step-by-step movement toward implementing agreements. Such cooperation lays the foundation for achieving real and sustainable peace," emphasized Umerov.
The meeting in Paris served as a platform to discuss the parameters of security guarantees, Ukraine's role in the architecture of future peace, and the contributions of international partners to deter renewed aggression.
