Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has stated that his country will continue to assist Ukraine until peace is reached. According to The Epoch Times, he remarked:
"Italy will keep aiding Ukraine until peace is established, and we hope that soon there will be no need to send weapons to Kyiv".
Tajani also reiterated to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Italy supports American efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
"Negotiations are ongoing. We are working hard to end this terrible conflict that has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths. Italy is doing everything it can to support peace efforts, but until peace is achieved, we will continue to assist Ukraine," the minister emphasized, referring to the preparation of the twelfth aid package for Ukraine.
Tajani pointed out that Russian leader Vladimir Putin must demonstrate his willingness to end the war not just with words, but with actions, as only actions truly matter.
Italy is preparing its 12th military assistance package, focusing on ammunition and missiles for the SAMP/T air defense system.
