Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission.
The President expressed gratitude to the Commission leader for her clear stance and messages supporting Ukraine during her speech in the European Parliament.
The leaders share a common perspective: as long as Russia dismisses all peace efforts, sanctions against it must increase, and defense and financial aid for Ukraine should continue.
Volodymyr Zelensky and Ursula von der Leyen discussed the current diplomatic situation and the EU's work on the decision regarding the use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine's defense.
The parties also coordinated their contacts for the near future.
