New NATO Discussions in Kyiv

The Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Radmila Šekerinska, arrived in Kyiv, where Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha discussed ways to enhance contributions to the PURL initiative and Ukraine's priority needs. The Foreign Minister shared this information on social media platform X.
“I was pleased to welcome NATO's Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for in-depth discussions on Ukraine-NATO cooperation, peace efforts, and strengthening Ukraine's defense and resilience. I informed her about the consequences of Russia's nighttime strikes and shared Ukraine's priority needs in bolstering our air defense and other capabilities,” the Minister stated.
Sybiha expressed gratitude to the deputy secretary general for the solidarity shown towards the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian terror.
The parties agreed that Russian strikes contradict the peace efforts led by the United States and President Trump. They also discussed further steps in the peace process.
“I appreciate that the Deputy Secretary General confirmed her commitment to exert every effort to strengthen Ukraine both at the diplomatic table and on the battlefield. We paid particular attention to the highly effective NATO initiative PURL and the ways to increase contributions to it. I look forward to participating in the upcoming Ukraine-NATO Ministerial Council meeting,” the Foreign Minister added.
