The operators of the gas transmission systems in Ukraine and Poland, known as Gaz-System, have decided to extend the guaranteed capacity for gas entry into Ukraine at 6.0 million cubic meters (at 0°C) and 6.4 million cubic meters (at +20°C) daily until October 1, 2026.
This information was reported by the GTSOU.
"It is important for Ukraine to develop this direction: to access LNG supplies from around the world through Polish terminals, as well as to offer our capacities for gas storage and market balancing," emphasized acting General Director of GTSOU Vladyslav Medvediev.
It is noted that the interconnector with Poland allows supplying Ukraine with capacities of up to 2.2 billion cubic meters per year (6 million cubic meters daily at 0°C) and up to 2.3 billion cubic meters per year (6.4 million cubic meters daily at +20°C).
It is reported that capacities not contracted under previously offered products will be made available on GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/UA TSO according to the current transportation situation as guaranteed capacity for annual, quarterly, monthly, daily, and intra-day products until the end of the 2025/2026 gas year.
