Innovative FPV Munitions by Ukrainian Armored Vehicles
The company "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" is developing cutting-edge FPV munitions based on 82 mm and 120 mm mortar shells produced in-house.
According to CEO Vladislav Belbas, testing is currently underway for the FPV munitions derived from a standardized 82 mm shell, which will be carried by a drone with a 10-inch frame.
The carrier drone is being designed by the company's engineering bureau and will be produced at their facilities with some components sourced from subcontractors.
The FPV munitions system will consist of 250 drones, a ground control station, and an antenna with a repeater, with plans for codification by the end of January this year.
Additionally, the engineers are developing a heavier FPV munitions system based on a 120 mm shell. Simultaneously, they are working on FPV wings that can carry various caliber shells.
Ukrainian Armored Vehicles has already codified and initiated mass production of releases for UAV bombers based on their own 60, 82, and 120 mm shells, which feature a different tail design for stabilization during release.
The first FPV munitions created by Ukrainian Armored Vehicles was the UB60D drone with a 60 mm shell. It was codified in July of last year, with mass production starting in September. Its cost ranges from 5.8 to 6.2 million hryvnias depending on configuration.
The drones arrive at the front lines already equipped, requiring minimal time to prepare for combat. The production capabilities allow the company to manufacture 20,000 FPV munitions per month.
