Ukrainian Reconnaissance Unit's Secret Operation in Zaporizhzhia
In December 2025, operatives from the "Brotherhood" unit, part of the "Timur Special Unit" of the Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, executed a bold raid into enemy territory in the Zaporizhzhia direction. This was reported by the military intelligence press service.
"During the combat operation, our soldiers eliminated two Russian occupiers, wounded two more, and captured another two.
Following this, the "Brotherhood" fighters undertook a complex and lengthy escort of the prisoners, covering approximately 27 kilometers to reach Ukrainian-controlled territory," the report stated.
The captured Russians provided valuable information regarding the locations of enemy officers, artillery positions, UAV operators, troop concentrations, military equipment, and ammunition depots.
The operation confirmed significant gaps in the enemy's front-line defense: the adversary does not anticipate active actions from Ukrainian reconnaissance deep within their positions and is unable to mount effective resistance in the rear.
Upon completion of the operation, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov recognized the fighters and commanders of the "Brotherhood" unit with state and departmental awards.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine showcased episodes of the "Timur Special Unit's" operations in the Zaporizhzhia direction, including the destruction of enemy hideouts and the capture of Russian soldiers.
