Air Defense Forces Neutralize Ballistic Missile and Drones

The air defense forces successfully neutralized one ballistic missile and 81 drones that Russian forces used to attack Ukraine on the evening of January 6. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 18:00 on January 6, the enemy launched an attack with one "Iskander-M" ballistic missile from Taganrog, as well as 95 strike drones of the Shahed type, "Gerbera" and other UAVs from directions including: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel (RF), Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 60 of these were Shahed-type drones.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 07:30 on January 7, preliminary data indicates that the air defense forces shot down one ballistic missile and 81 drones in the northern, central, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
14 strike drones were reported to have hit 8 locations, with debris landing in 5 areas.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
Throughout the day, Russian forces launched 682 strikes on 24 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were killed, and nine others were injured.
