Successful Defense Against Drone Attacks in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully neutralized 53 out of 61 drones launched by Russian troops on the night of January 5. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force via Telegram.
The attack began at 6:00 PM on January 5, when the enemy deployed 61 strike drones, including Shahed models, «Gerbera», and others, launched from the directions of: Millerovo, Kursk, Orel (RF), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 40 of these drones were of the Shahed type.
The defense was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 8:30 AM on January 6 indicates that air defense destroyed or suppressed 53 drones in the north, center, and east of the country.
There were reports of impacts from 8 strike drones at 6 different locations.
Russian forces also shelled and launched drone attacks on the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging civilian infrastructure.
