Tragedy in Chernihiv: Aftermath of the Missile Strike
The emergency rescue operation in Chernihiv concluded after a missile strike on an apartment building on December 25.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv City Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, on Telegram.
“The rescue operation is complete. Unfortunately, one person has died. I express my condolences to the family of the deceased. Ten individuals were injured, and four people were rescued,” Bryzhynskyi stated.
He noted that in the building that suffered the most damage, heating, gas, and electricity have been restored in 60 apartments. However, 25 apartments remain without heating. Repair crews are on-site working to restore heating to as many apartments as possible today.
Bryzhynskyi clarified that a total of 164 apartments were damaged, with two completely destroyed.
More than 150 people were involved in the emergency rescue operation.
The head of the City Administration thanked everyone who participated in the rescue efforts.
As reported by Ukrinform, on December 25, Russian forces struck a multi-story building in Chernihiv. One person was killed, and 10 others were injured, including three children.
