New Supplier Registration System for Defense Sector
The government has established a new electronic registry for defense suppliers. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.
This system will serve as a comprehensive information platform for producers and suppliers, ensuring secure access to data.
"The registry will help reduce corruption risks and improve procurement transparency," stated Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the new registry will operate as a closed system with limited access, which minimizes the risk of confidential data leaks.
For state customers, the registry will provide an up-to-date list of suppliers and tools for risk assessment. Manufacturers will have clearer guidelines for participating in procurement processes. This will enable military leadership to evaluate the actual capabilities of the defense industry for decision-making.
"In wartime, information about suppliers is extremely sensitive, and previously, customers often searched for suppliers informally, which limited competition," emphasized Deputy Defense Minister Oksana Ferchuk.
With the registry, state customers will be able to send requests for price proposals and receive verified information about suppliers.
"Suppliers will receive all requests through their electronic cabinets, ensuring transparency in procurement," noted the head of the Ministry of Defense's Digital Transformation Directorate, Artem Romaniuk.
The update of the supplier registry is part of the state anti-corruption program and the digitalization of defense processes in wartime.
It is worth noting that in the fall, the President signed a law restricting access to information about defense industry enterprises in registries.
