Drone Attacks: Latest Updates from Air Defense
The air defense of Ukraine successfully neutralized 58 unmanned aerial vehicles that Russian forces launched on Sunday evening. According to the report from the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, enemy hits were recorded at 12 locations.
Since 19:00 on December 21, the invaders launched 86 drones of various types, including Shahed and ‘Gerbera’.
The launches were conducted from the Russian cities of Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region, as well as from Chauda, located in the occupied Crimea.
More than half of the attacking drones turned out to be strike models like Shahed.
The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 08:30 Monday, preliminary data indicates that 58 enemy drones were shot down or jammed in the north, south, and east of the country.
At 12 locations, hits from 26 enemy strike UAVs were recorded, and at one location, wreckage from downed targets was found.
In Odesa, during the night, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged due to Russian attacks, and the city is experiencing power outages.
