Impact of Russian Attacks on Ukraine's Energy Infrastructure

As a result of the Russian attacks on November 29, over 500,000 consumers in Kyiv were left without electricity, more than 100,000 in the Kyiv region, and nearly 8,000 in the Kharkiv region. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.

During the night of November 28-29, the enemy launched a massive rocket and drone strike against energy facilities in Kyiv as well as in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

Due to the attack, more than 500,000 users in Kyiv, over 100,000 in the Kyiv region, and about 8,000 in Kharkiv have lost power, according to the announcement.

"Emergency recovery efforts are already underway where the security situation allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible," reports the Ministry of Energy.

In all regions of Ukraine, hourly blackout schedules are being implemented today. Additionally, in most regions of Ukraine, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses continue to be in effect, as stated in the announcement.
