Tragedy in Kyiv: Aftermath of the Russian Attack
In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, on November 29, a large-scale attack by Russia resulted in damage across 18 locations in seven districts. This was reported by Timur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, on his Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, medical teams reported 35 injured individuals, including a 10-year-old boy. These numbers are dynamic as responders work in real-time.
Tkachenko remarked, "Every loss is painful. The world needs to know that Russia targets families. Last night, a hostile drone killed a 42-year-old man, and his son sustained burns and injuries, requiring hospitalization. This is the only child currently recorded among the injured."
"Within the next day or two, some of the injured will be discharged once they receive the necessary care. However, there are also serious cases. All medical staff are working to save lives. I want to commend our healthcare workers who acted promptly and efficiently during the night," he added.
In all areas where damage occurred, municipal workers and social service staff are present:
- In the Svyatoshyn district, a headquarters has been established at 18 Chistyakivska Street since early morning.
- In the Darnytsia district, the headquarters is operating at 21 Kharkiv Highway.
- In the Solomyansky district, the headquarters has been set up at 41 Air Forces Avenue.
- In the Holosiivskyi district, two mobile headquarters are active at 11 Horikhuvatka Street and 20a Zabolotnoho Street.
Tkachenko emphasized that the heads of districts are coordinating immediate assistance efforts.
As of 2 PM, he reported that six apartment buildings, at least two private homes, 11 vehicles, and a shopping center have been damaged.
Tkachenko stressed, "Russians are clearly demonstrating targeted terror against our residential areas. Today, the air defense did everything possible to mitigate the threat. Despite the damages and painful losses, we must daily thank and support our Armed Forces. They hold the front, they protect the sky, under such pressure – 600 drones, over 30 missiles."
He also expressed gratitude to firefighters, police, charities, and municipal workers.
