Over the past week, Russia has launched nearly 1,000 strikes against Ukraine, employing attack drones, guided bombs, and various missiles. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Facebook page.
He stated that recovery operations are ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions following Russian strikes. Rescue teams are also active in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
«Last night, Russian forces launched over 170 drones, of which at least half were «Shaheds». Throughout this week, approximately 1,000 attack drones, nearly 980 guided bombs, and 36 missiles of different types were used against our people,» emphasized Zelensky.
He pointed out that each night requires a comprehensive air defense system, including air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, and intercepting drones.
«We are actively working with partners on each component to enhance Ukraine's protection. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly bolster our air defense, resilience, and diplomacy,» he noted.
