Defense Forces Neutralize Drones: Latest Attack Report
The air defense successfully neutralized 139 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera types, and others out of 176 that Russia launched in an attack on Ukraine on the evening of November 15. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
"On the night of November 16 (from 18:00 on November 15), the enemy attacked with one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region – RF, and 176 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera types, and other drones from directions: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk – RF, Chauda - temporarily occupied AR Crimea, around 100 of them being 'Shaheds'," the statement said.
The airstrike was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00, preliminary data indicates that air defense has shot down or suppressed 139 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera types, and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
There have been recorded strikes from 37 attack UAVs at 14 locations, as well as debris falling at two of these locations.
The Air Force noted that the attack continues, with new groups of enemy UAVs in the airspace.
