Recent Drone and Missile Attacks on Ukraine
Air defense forces have neutralized 406 drones and nine missiles launched by Russian forces against Ukraine on the evening of November 7. This information comes from the Ukrainian Air Force via Telegram.
Since 6:30 PM on Friday, November 7, Russian forces have conducted a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using strike UAVs, air-launched, ground-launched, and naval missiles.
Overall, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 503 aerial threats – 45 missiles (of which 32 were ballistic) and 458 UAVs of various types (approximately 300 were Shahed drones):
- 458 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, "Gerbera", and other types of drones from directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Hvardijske (temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 25 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23" (from Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov regions);
- 10 cruise missiles "Iskander-K" (from Kursk, Voronezh regions);
- seven air-launched ballistic missiles Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" (from Tambov region);
- three cruise missiles "Caliber" (from the Black Sea area).
The main targets of the attack were the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, indicates that air defense downed/suppressed 415 aerial targets: 406 drones and 9 missiles of various types.
Strikes were recorded on 26 missiles and 52 strike UAVs across 25 locations, with debris falling in four different regions of Ukraine.
