Recovery Efforts Following Russian Attacks
We are currently addressing the aftermath of today's combined assault by Russia. The enemy's primary target was critical infrastructure, essential for the daily lives of citizens. This was reported by Interior Minister Igor Klymenko via Telegram.
Areas impacted include Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv region, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv. Rescue teams and the National Police are actively working at the strike sites. All necessary specialists and equipment are deployed. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine is currently extinguishing over a dozen fires nationwide.
In Dnipro, Russia targeted a residential building with a drone strike. Rescuers have recovered the body of a deceased individual from the rubble. Ten people were injured, and around 30 were rescued by the State Emergency Service.
We have reports that two individuals are unaccounted for. We are searching for them. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service are on site to assist the victims with stress management. Police are helping with evacuations and documenting evidence of war crimes.
We are in contact with Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk to coordinate actions at impacted facilities. I am continuously updating President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on the status of rescue operations.
The situation is challenging, but we will endure. All involved services are working tirelessly to minimize the impacts of the Russian attack on essential infrastructure.
