The Tragedy of Ukrainian Children Amid War
Since the onset of the full-scale war, Ukrainian children have faced horrific losses: 661 have been killed and over 2200 injured. This was reported by Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko on his Telegram channel.
On the 1342nd day of the conflict, 5363 criminal cases related to these atrocities are being investigated.
During this time, the Russian Federation has: killed 661 children; injured 2203 children; destroyed or damaged more than 4500 schools and 1294 hospitals; abducted and deported over 19 thousand children; committed at least 23 acts of sexual violence against children, Kravchenko added.
He emphasized that each of these cases is evidence of a systematic policy of terror aimed at annihilating the Ukrainian nation.
The Attorney General also noted that UN Security Council Resolution No. 1261 outlines six major crimes against children in wartime, and all these crimes are being committed by Russia in Ukraine daily, under the watch of the global community.
The head of the OGP stated that prosecutors, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are investigating every crime.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals, from the perpetrators to the leadership of the Russian Federation, are held accountable. Time will not be an obstacle. These crimes have no statute of limitations," he stated.
