New Global Education Initiative Launched by Olena Zelenska
Olena Zelenska, the President's wife, has introduced a new international initiative called "Every Generation Shapes the Future, Education Determines the Path".
This announcement took place during the fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen held in Kyiv.
"We are leaving the summit with fresh ideas and a determination to act. The first step we are taking is right here. On behalf of all the first ladies, I declare the launch of our global campaign to support education," she stated.
Zelenska emphasized that modern quality education should encompass not only academic knowledge but also emotional intelligence, humanity, and a broad worldview.
"In the past, these aspects may have been separate, but modern life shows that for humanity to survive, education and the best human qualities must grow together," she added.
The President's wife highlighted that the summit participants had the opportunity to hear many interesting ideas. She expressed confidence that this year's theme was well-chosen.
Zelenska also thanked all the first ladies and gentlemen who participated in the meetings, as well as experts and teachers.
"It is a great honor for us that many of you spent these two days with us. Thank you for being there for your students and for us. If anything gives hope to humanity, it is your work," she concluded.
It is worth noting that the fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv focused on the theme "Education that Shapes the World". First ladies and gentlemen from six countries attended the event: Doris Schmidauer (Austria), Bo Tengberg (Denmark), Sirje Karis (Estonia), Suzanne Innes-Stubb (Finland), Elke Budenbender (Germany), and Diana Nausediene (Lithuania).
