Ukraine-Turkey Talks: New Avenues for Collaboration

The Ukrainian delegation held a meeting in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan before crucial talks with the Russian side in Istanbul.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referring to the Telegram channel of the Head of the Office of the President (OП) Andriy Yermak.

According to Yermak, during the negotiations with Erdoğan:

• positions were coordinated ahead of the meeting with the Russian side in Istanbul;
• the issues of security cooperation, regional stability challenges, and prospects for further defense collaboration between Ukraine and Turkey were raised;
• the importance of a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky, Erdoğan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and dictator Vladimir Putin for moving towards real negotiations to end the war was discussed.
