Expanded Women-Only Compartments on Trains
Ukrzaliznytsia has announced an extension of its train routes that will feature women-only compartments. Starting from July 25, these new carriages will operate on three additional routes.
This information has been confirmed by UZ.
“Providing comfort and safety for our passengers is one of our primary goals. That’s why we are expanding the project for women-only compartments,” representatives from UZ explained.
The new compartments will be available on the following trains:
- No. 38/37 Kyiv – Zaporizhia;
- No. 98/97 Kovel – Kyiv;
- No. 22/21 Lviv – Kharkiv.
In these trains, women-only compartments are located in carriage No. 5. They will start operating on July 25.
In total, women-only compartments are now available on 15 trains:
- No. 1/2 Kharkiv – Vorokhta;
- No. 3/4 Zaporizhia – Uzhhorod;
- No. 5/6 Zaporizhia – Yasinya;
- No. 15/16 Kharkiv – Yasinya;
- No. 17/18 Kharkiv – Mukachevo;
- No. 22/21 Lviv – Kharkiv;
- No. 26/25 Odesa – Yasinya;
- No. 29/30 Kyiv – Uzhhorod;
- No. 38/37 Kyiv – Zaporizhia;
- No. 41/42 Dnipro – Truskavets;
- No. 43/44 Cherkasy – Ivano-Frankivsk;
- No. 75/76 Kyiv – Kryvyi Rih;
- No. 81/82 Kyiv – Chop;
- No. 95/96 Kyiv – Rakhiv;
- No. 98/97 Kovel – Kyiv.
Only women or women traveling with children under the age of 5 are allowed in these compartments. The fare in these carriages is the same as in other compartments.
