A fire broke out on Train No. 115 traveling between Sumy and Kyiv near Putyvl station.
This was reported by the press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia".
"Due to the fire in one of the carriages, a railway worker lost their life, but there were no casualties among the passengers. The fire has been contained, and the causes are currently being investigated," the statement said.
It was noted that the train resumed its journey to Kyiv but without four detached carriages. All passengers were relocated to available seats in other carriages.
According to UZ, the delay is approximately one hour, but it is expected to decrease.
As a reminder, at the beginning of April, the enemy shelled the town of Semenivka, located near the border of Ukraine and Russia in the Chernihiv region, resulting in damage to the local station.
