A Kyiv man posing as a drone supplier defrauded a volunteer of $30,000 by promising rapid delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles. The 35-year-old convinced his acquaintance, a businessman involved in volunteer activities, that he could offer drones at lower prices. After receiving the money, he vanished without fulfilling his promises.
Investigators from the Solomianskyi District Police in Kyiv, with support from the UKR, identified the fraudster. The police initiated a criminal case regarding fraud committed during martial law. The man faces up to 12 years in prison with asset confiscation.
