In Kyiv, restoration works are set to begin on the building located at Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, 51-A. This has been reported by the Kyiv Department of Territorial Control.
The structure is a local historical landmark and one of the locations housing parts of the Department, as well as the State Scientific Institution "Encyclopedic Publishing House".
From 1906 to 1908, an underground printing house operated here, and from 1906 to 1913, it housed the Higher Women's Courses, where Ukrainian writer Zinaida Tulub studied.
The restoration project has been approved, and the city budget for 2025 allocates 5.5 million UAH to start the work.
The project's implementation is scheduled for 2026-2028, with a total estimated cost of 119.8 million UAH. The tender process commenced on October 24, 2025.
