Mismanagement in Procurement Leads to Budget Losses

Investigators from the Sviatoshyn police department uncovered cases of mismanagement that resulted in financial losses for the Kyiv budget. The suspect is an employee of the Sviatoshyn psychiatric boarding school, which falls under the Department of Social Policy of the Kyiv City Council. 
In 2025, it was established that the perpetrator improperly organized the procurement of equipment for the major repair of a hybrid solar power station intended for a medical institution. He failed to verify market prices for the equipment and entered into a contract with a private entrepreneur for the supply of six hybrid inverters at an inflated price, causing the budget a loss of approximately 700,000 UAH.
Investigators reported the man on suspicion under Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for mismanagement that led to severe consequences. The article's sanction provides for up to five years of imprisonment.
