Driving School Director Accused of Document Forgery

The police in Kyiv have charged a driving school director with forgery. The suspect falsified records in the state registry, enabling her «students» to receive certificates of completion without actually attending classes.  
The illegal scheme was uncovered by investigators from the Holosiivskyi police department in collaboration with operatives from the Kyiv city department of the National Police's Department of Internal Security.
According to the investigation, the 36-year-old director enrolled a woman in the driving school for a fee and input false data into the Unified State Register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs about her attendance at practical driving classes for category «B» automobiles.
In reality, the future «driver» did not attend any classes, yet based on the director's falsified information in the registry regarding her practical training, she received a certificate of completion from the educational institution.
The police conducted several searches at the suspect's residence and workplace, during which they seized documentation, medical certificates, stamps, cash, and rough notes.
The investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor's Office, informed the director of the charges under part 1 of Article 362 (unauthorized actions with information processed in electronic systems) and part 1 of Article 366 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces up to three years of restriction of liberty with the prohibition of holding certain positions for up to three years.
