New Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey: Nariman Djelyalov

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has officially appointed Nariman Djelyalov, deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, as the ambassador to Turkey.
Source: This information was revealed through decree No. 305/2025, published on the president's official website on May 14, according to "European Truth".
Details: "To appoint Nariman Enverovych Djelyalov as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey," the decree states.
Nariman Djelyalov, who serves as the deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, was released from Russian captivity at the end of June 2024.
The previous ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, was transferred to the position of ambassador to Poland in the fall, leaving the embassy in Ankara without a permanent head.
President Zelensky announced Djelyalov's appointment in December as part of a major rotation of Ukrainian ambassadors.
