Former Judge Sentenced for Corruption: New Insights

The High Anti-Corruption Court has issued a verdict against former judge Olena Vlasenkova of the Kyiv District Administrative Court: 5 years and 6 months in prison for accepting a bribe.
"On June 11, 2025, the panel of judges of the HACC announced the guilty verdict for the former judge, who was caught receiving illegal benefits from the deputy director of commercial affairs of one of the enterprises in exchange for making procedural decisions in the case". - Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office
The anti-corruption agencies do not disclose the name of the individual involved, but according to reports, it refers to Vlasenkova, who was caught taking a bribe in 2018.
The court found the ex-judge guilty of crimes under part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, sentencing her to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment, along with a three-year ban on holding positions in government bodies and the confiscation of all her property.
The verdict will take effect thirty days after its announcement, unless appealed, the SAP adds.
