In January-March 2025, the gambling sector in Ukraine contributed 5.4 billion UAH in taxes to the state budget, marking a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
This information was shared by Danilo Hetmantsev, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.
The deputy noted that this amount is 143 times higher than the January-March 2021 figure (37.7 million UAH).
According to his data, in January 2025, the budget received 735 million UAH, in February – 1.52 billion UAH, and in March – 3.13 billion UAH.
Furthermore, he reported that the turnover using RRO/PRRO in the first two months of 2025 reached 8.5 billion UAH, exceeding the level of January-February 2024 (0.5 billion UAH) by 18.5 times.
Hetmantsev emphasized that the mandatory use of RRO/PRRO by the gambling business introduced at the end of last year has facilitated the formalization of the sector.
As a reminder: the Cabinet of Ministers established the state agency "PlayCity," which will implement state policy in the organization of gambling and lotteries.
