Revolut Halts New User Registrations from Ukraine
The financial service Revolut has announced a temporary halt to new user registrations from Ukraine.
This was reported by DOU.
"Revolut Bank UAB has suspended the registration of new clients who are residents of Ukraine. This will not affect our current Ukrainian users — their accounts and services will continue to operate as usual. Ukrainians can join the waiting list while we work on resuming the registration process. Ukraine remains an important market for Revolut, and we are committed to supporting our clients and community," the company stated.
The likely reason for halting registrations is the absence of a banking license from the NBU. The company has not commented on this matter.
Revolut also emphasized its support for Ukrainians: as part of the Clear Sky charity campaign organized with UNHCR, over £500,000 has been raised. The company will additionally donate another £200,000 to assist those affected by the war.
