Kyiv Receives 130 Generators from Poland
The city of Kyiv has received 130 generators of various capacities from Poland, as announced by Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel.
These generators will help the city bolster the stability of critical facilities and social services during the energy crisis, Klitschko emphasized.
Funds for the generators were raised by Polish volunteers. In just ten days, 60,000 Poles donated 80 million zlotys (approximately 2 million euros).
Among the equipment received are one FD 600 D diesel generator with a capacity of 600 kW, one FD 80 B diesel generator with a capacity of 80 kW, 20 FOGO FV20000TE / TRE generators each with a capacity of 20 kW, and 108 FOGO F12000iSG generators each with a capacity of 12 kW.
The total power of the supplied equipment amounts to 2,376 kW.
The first batch of generators arrived on January 26, purchased with the help of donations.
Klitschko informed that another batch is expected soon. Additionally, another 90 generators are on the way from Warsaw.
Klitschko stated that thanks to the Polish, Ukrainians have received a lot of humanitarian assistance, including energy support, medical equipment, food supplies, and other essential resources.
The European Union is set to deliver 447 generators to Ukraine for critical infrastructure in Kyiv and frontline regions within a week.
