New Military Aid Shipment from Latvia to Ukraine
On Monday, November 3rd, Latvia will dispatch a new consignment of military assistance to Ukraine, comprising 65 vehicles donated by AS "Latvenergo" in collaboration with AS "Sadales tīkls". This is reported by Delfi referencing the organization "Ziedot.lv".
The event will feature the head of "Ziedot.lv", Ruta Dimanta, the administrative director of "Latvenergo", Arnis Kurgs, the board member and technical director of "Sadales tīkls", Raimonds Skrebs, as well as the board member and development director of "Sadales tīkls", Vīgants Rāziņš.
Also present will be the advisor from the Ukrainian embassy in Latvia, Yuriy Zakharchuk, along with volunteer drivers from "Latvenergo" and "Sadales tīkls".
Employees from "Latvenergo" and "Sadales tīkls" will voluntarily travel to Ukraine to deliver all donated vehicles along with aid cargo for the Ukrainian army.
In total, "Latvenergo" has donated 158 used vehicles that enhance the mobility of Ukrainian troops at the front, supporting both the movement of military units and the delivery of critically needed resources.
In September, Latvia informed about the transfer of a new batch of "Patria" 6x6 armored personnel carriers and other military equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces.
In April, Latvia, co-chairing the so-called "drone coalition" within the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group alongside Britain, reported sending 1500 drones to Ukraine.
