Kyiv and Copenhagen: A New Era of Cooperation
On September 25, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko met with the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Lars Weiss. This was announced by the city mayor on social media.
Vitali Klitschko reminded that in April 2023, Kyiv and Copenhagen signed a Memorandum of Partnership, which has already led to the initiation of several joint projects.
In particular, they discussed providing support to Ukrainian veterans through expert assistance from Danish specialists to enhance existing military initiatives in Kyiv.
They also talked about developing a training module for newly appointed "veteran assistants" who will work at the Kyiv Military Hub.
Additionally, they discussed employment opportunities for visually impaired individuals, focusing on experience exchange between institutions in Kyiv and Copenhagen dealing with the social and labor adaptation of the blind and visually impaired.
According to the mayor, Kyiv is eager to deepen cooperation with Copenhagen and implement new joint projects.
Vitali Klitschko also invited Lars Weiss to participate in the Investment Forum “Berlin Platform,” which will take place in Germany in November, where discussions will center on attracting investments for the reconstruction of Kyiv and Ukraine.
“Together with the Mayor of Copenhagen, we honored the memory of the Heroes of Ukraine, laid flowers at the Memorial for Fallen Defenders of Kyiv. We also took a stroll on the 'glass bridge' and planted a tree at the Friendship Alley on Volodymyrska Hill,” concluded Vitali Klitschko.
