Russia's Disregard for Peace: A New Phase of War in Ukraine
Russia shows no desire for peace and openly mocks the diplomatic efforts of the civilized world.
This was stated by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on her Facebook page.
“Together with Igor Klymenko and Andriy Sybiha, we informed 60 heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine about the consequences of one of the largest airstrikes by the Russians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. We showcased the damage caused by the Russian attack on the upper floors of the Cabinet of Ministers building. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, and soon work to repair the roof will commence,” she noted.
Svyrydenko emphasized that for Ukraine, yesterday's attack signifies a new phase of war, as the enemy has practically doubled the number of “Shaheds” during strikes on civilians and energy infrastructure ahead of winter, systematically targeting enterprises and government institutions.
“This is a clear signal that Russia does not want peace and is openly mocking diplomatic efforts. This is an existential war. Among the casualties yesterday was a two-year-old child and a young mother. The Russians are killing our children, thus killing our future,” she stressed.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all diplomats and noted that their presence in Ukraine today is a sign of support in the fight for the existence of the state.
