Sweden's New Initiative to Enhance Ukraine's Cybersecurity
Sweden has launched a new support program for Ukraine by allocating funds to enhance cybersecurity under the Tallinn mechanism.
This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on Facebook, according to "European Truth".
It is noted that Ukraine will receive over 590 million hryvnias from the Swedish International Development Agency Sida to strengthen cyber defense.
This support package is part of an international initiative involving 11 countries to improve cyber resilience.
The ministry states that the allocated funds will be used for IT infrastructure modernization, enhancing the protection of digital products, and training staff of key government institutions.
Funding from Sida will be channeled through the Estonian Centre for International Development, which is responsible for managing and implementing development and humanitarian aid projects.
Recently, it was reported that Sweden will review its economic aid structure to other countries, allowing for an additional 1.67 billion Swedish kronor (approximately 150 million euros) to be allocated for assistance to Ukraine and other humanitarian efforts.
In early June, Sweden announced the allocation of 50 million euros for NATO projects NSATU and NATO CAP, which focus on training Ukrainian military personnel.
Additionally, Sweden has joined the "electronic warfare coalition" and has become its co-chair at Germany's invitation.
