German Minister's Visit to Ukraine: Strengthening Support Initiatives
The newly appointed German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, visited Ukraine to meet with Interior Minister Igor Klymenko and deliver a new aid package for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Klymenko expressed gratitude to the German people for their unwavering support throughout the war, which has lasted over three years. He emphasized the importance of not only material assistance but also the preservation of lives.
The minister noted that thanks to Germany's comprehensive support, the Interior Ministry's units are equipped to respond swiftly to threats and protect critical infrastructure. He also thanked for assistance in radiation, chemical, and biological protection, which is essential during attacks on industrial facilities.
Klymenko highlighted the significance of specialized equipment that aids in rescuing people and clearing debris in the aftermath of attacks.
Wadephul assured that Germany remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine, pledging continued assistance as the fight against aggression persists.
Both parties reviewed the newly delivered vehicles that will be used for logistical support to border units and mobile groups protecting civilian infrastructure.
