The German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful has arrived in Ukraine for crucial discussions.
This is reported by Spiegel.
On June 30, the minister landed in Kyiv where he intends to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian government.
Upon arrival, he emphasized that "the freedom and future of Ukraine is a top priority" for Germany's foreign and security policy. Wadeful also stated that President Vladimir Putin is attempting to subdue Ukraine through brutal bombings.
Previously, he warned against underestimating the threat that Russia poses to Germany.
In a recent speech, he said that the Baltic Sea is a region where "the risk of military confrontation is very real".
Moreover, he expressed concern that the escalation of conflict between Israel and Iran is distracting attention from Ukraine.
