Poland's Ongoing Support for Ukraine: Recent Developments
The head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Dariusz Lukowski, announced that Poland's total support for Ukraine, particularly in military aid, has reached almost 5 billion euros.
He revealed this information during an interview with the publication Rzeczpospolita.
Military Aid from Poland to Ukraine: Lukowski on 5 Billion Euros
"According to our estimates, we have provided Ukraine with support, including military assistance, totaling nearly 5 billion euros," Lukowski stated.
He emphasized that while this amount does not place Poland among the top donors, the military aid provided has been critically important.
"While other countries were still discussing assistance, we delivered hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles, enabling us to equip forces exceeding a division," the official noted.
Meanwhile, the head of the Polish intelligence agency stated, "We must fill the gaps left by the provided equipment and expand our armed forces to effectively deter Russia."
He added that despite this, Poland continues to provide support as much as possible.
For instance, Warsaw is ensuring communication for Ukrainian troops using Starlink, supplying spare parts for the donated equipment, and providing a wide range of combat assets.
