South Korea Allocates Funds for Ukraine's Digital Transformation
South Korea will allocate $4.76 million to support the digital transformation of the Ukrainian government. The agreement was signed on April 14 in Kyiv by representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The funds will be used for a three-year project that will last until 2027. The aim is to make government operations more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly for civil servants. The initiative will be implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNDP, and the Cabinet Secretariat.
“The goal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to simplify interactions with the state for both citizens and service providers. We are grateful to South Korea for supporting this important initiative that will enhance the efficiency of the public sector,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology.
The project will focus on two key areas:
- Modernizing digital tools for project management in ministries and creating electronic services for civil servants.
- Training civil servants in digital skills to effectively utilize new systems.
One of the components of the project will be the implementation of a special service called "Diia.Office" for civil servants, which will help simplify administrative processes and improve interactions between institutions.
