Annalen Baerbock, who is stepping down as Germany's Foreign Minister, arrived in Ukraine on April 1 for what is likely her final visit to the country.
This was reported by the German Foreign Office, as noted by "European Truth".
At the train station, she was welcomed by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and the German ambassador to Kyiv, Martin Jaeger.
Upon her arrival, Baerbock announced that Germany would provide an additional 130 million euros in humanitarian aid and stabilization measures, according to the Foreign Office.
"Given the deadlock in US-Russia relations, it is crucial for us to show that we stand with Ukraine and support it now more than ever," the head of German diplomacy commented on her visit.
In Kyiv, Baerbock is expected to meet with politicians and civil society representatives to discuss Ukraine's steps toward EU membership.
At the end of March, Baerbock announced that Germany would soon send new shipments of arms to help the country defend itself against new Russian attacks.
Earlier, Baerbock welcomed the decision of the Bundestag's budget committee regarding 3 billion euros in additional military aid to Ukraine in 2025.
