Details: The opinion poll was conducted following announcements by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Minister of Defense regarding the organization of publicly accessible basic training for all interested individuals.
Tusk emphasized that there are certainly many people among Poles who are willing to defend their country, and it is essential for the state to provide opportunities for acquiring such knowledge and skills. He stated that by 2027, Poland should be able to train 100,000 volunteers annually.
Respondents were asked if they would be interested in attending the training when given the chance.
35% responded affirmatively, with 14% indicating they are definitely interested, and 21% saying they are somewhat interested.
Meanwhile, 54% stated they do not plan to participate in the training, with 33% saying "definitely not", and 21% "probably not".
Among male respondents, 18% expressed definite interest in the training, while 23% said they would consider participation.
Among female respondents, 10% provided a definite affirmative response.
By age group, the highest interest in attending training was found among those aged 50-59.
Political preferences also show differences. Among supporters of the opposition party "Law and Justice", 15% expressed interest in the training, while among supporters of the "Civic Platform", the figure was 21%. The highest interest was noted among supporters of the coalition bloc "Third Way", where a combined 50% of respondents plan or are likely to take advantage of such an opportunity.
A total of 1,000 adults were surveyed from March 17 to 21.
