Latest Developments on Drone Attacks in Ukraine
Air defense forces have successfully intercepted 80 drones utilized by the Russian military in attacks against Ukraine since last evening. Additionally, several ballistic missile strikes and 25 enemy UAVs were recorded. This information was shared by the Ukrainian Armed Forces via Telegram.
Military sources indicate that from 18:00 on Thursday, January 29, Russian forces deployed an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 111 drones of various types, including Shahed, «Herbera», and «Italmas».
The missile was launched from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, while the drones were deployed from Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and occupied Donetsk.
Approximately 70 of the targeted objects were found to be Shahed kamikaze drones.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 08:00 on Friday, preliminary reports indicate that air defense had shot down or jammed 80 enemy drones.
Ballistic missile strikes and 25 enemy UAVs were recorded at 15 locations, with debris from downed drones observed at two additional sites.
The Air Forces emphasize that the attack is ongoing, and several Russian drones are still detected in the sky over Ukraine. Citizens are advised to adhere to safety protocols.
On the night of January 30, Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones.
