The air defense forces have successfully neutralized 37 out of 69 Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram update.
On the evening of December 16, the Russians launched a significant attack on Ukraine using 69 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, "Herbera," and other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), with about 40 of them being Shahed drones.
The air raid was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00 on December 17, air defense had downed 37 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
29 strikes have been confirmed on 12 locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the air, as warned by the Air Force.
