Frontline Update: Combat Activity Report for November 23

Since the beginning of the day, 117 combat encounters have been recorded at the frontline, with fighting ongoing in six directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page, providing the latest information as of 16:00 on Sunday, November 23.
“The enemy from the territory of the Russian Federation launched artillery attacks on the areas of Mykolaivka, Mykhalsyna Sloboda in the Chernihiv region; Bila Berizka, Starykove, Kucheryvka, Shalyhyne in the Sumy region,” the statement reads.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions the enemy made six attacks on Ukrainian defenders' positions, one encounter is ongoing, and also carried out an airstrike using two guided bombs, conducting 60 shellings of populated areas and Ukrainian unit positions.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction the enemy attacked three times in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Synelnykove. One combat encounter is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction fighting continues near Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman direction Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Seredne, Zarichne, and towards the settlement of Novy Mir. One combat encounter continues.
In the Sloviansk direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks, and another combat encounter is still ongoing. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Yampol, Serebryanka, and Sacco and Vanzetti.
In the Kramatorsk direction since the beginning of the day, the enemy made one attempt to advance in the area of Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka direction the invaders conducted 24 offensive actions near Shcherbynivka, Rusynyi Yar, Yablunivka, Oleksandro-Shultyn, and towards Kostiantynivka, Predtechyn, and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction throughout the day, the enemy attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions near Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Nikanorivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filiya, and towards Novopavlivka 42 times.
In the Oleksandrivka direction the aggressor attacked 12 times in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Vorone, Oleksiivka, Verbove, Pryvilne, and Krasnohirske.
In the Huliaipole direction Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks from the invaders near Zelenyi Hai, Zatyshia, Vysoke, and towards the settlement of Pryliuky. Additionally, enemy aviation struck populated areas Vozdvizhivka and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove, Stepnohirske, and Prymorske.
In the Dnipro direction the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks towards Antonivskyi bridge.
No significant changes in the situation have been recorded in other directions at this time.
