F-16 Fighters Achievements in Ukrainian Skies
The F-16 fighters in Ukraine have intercepted over 1300 aerial targets and destroyed more than 300 ground targets. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Since their introduction in August 2024, F-16s have marked a significant milestone for Ukraine, enhancing the capabilities of its air force. Ukrainian pilots have quickly adapted to this new technology, transforming it into a formidable tool against aggression.
By implementing innovative strategies for air and air defense combat, Ukrainian crews have consistently achieved high results in repelling Russian attacks. The F-16s alone have intercepted over 1300 aerial targets, including during the defense against a Russian strike on November 19, when F-16 and Mirage-2000 pilots intercepted and shot down at least 10 enemy cruise missiles.
In addition to air defense missions, these aircraft are actively used for close air support. F-16 pilots have targeted over 300 ground objectives, destroying hundreds of units of Russian equipment, command posts, drone control centers, ammunition depots, and enemy logistics.
The F-16 pilots and ground aviation personnel are working daily under extremely challenging conditions. Their primary concern is the uninterrupted and timely supply of airstrike capabilities from Western partners. Without a sufficient amount of bombs and missiles, the F-16s cannot secure victory, emphasized the Air Forces.
Moreover, air defense forces have neutralized 442 drones, 34 X-101 cruise missiles, and seven Kalibr missiles that Russia used to attack Ukraine since 6 PM on November 18.
