Nighttime Assault on the Capital: October 22 Attacks
In the early hours of October 22, the capital faced a significant aerial assault. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on their social media.
Initial reports indicate that two people have died, while several others have been injured.
Dniprovskyi District: A 16-story building was hit. A fire broke out on the 6th floor, leading to the rescue of 10 individuals, including children. Unfortunately, the bodies of two deceased persons were found.
Darniytskyi District: Due to drone strikes, floors 11 to 16 of a 17-story building caught fire. 15 people were rescued, including 2 children. A two-story non-residential building also caught fire, but the blaze was contained.
Desnianskyi District: The facade of a 10-story building was damaged, and a car and gas pipe were on fire. 20 individuals were rescued.
Pecherskyi District: Strikes affected the upper floors of a 25-story building. Fire was extinguished before rescuers arrived. Emergency service teams continue to operate at the sites. Information about the injured is being verified.
