On the night of October 16, 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the oil refinery in Saratov, located in the Russian region of Saratov. This was reported by the General Staff.
The Saratov refinery is one of the oldest oil processing facilities in Russia, processing 4.8 million tons of oil as of 2023.
This facility is involved in meeting the military needs of Russia.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are systematically implementing a series of measures to target critical elements of the Russian military-industrial base to hinder its ability to continue aggression.
