On October 14, Alexander Prokudin, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, reported an attack by Russian forces on a humanitarian mission in the area.
According to him, Russian soldiers shelled the trucks of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs located in the Bilozerska community.
“Four white vehicles marked as non-military were transporting aid to people,” Prokudin stated.
He clarified that one vehicle was burned, another severely damaged, but two trucks managed to escape the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
“Today, the ‘second army’ of the world defeated several tons of humanitarian aid. There’s nothing more to say here,” Prokudin commented.
The UN Press Service in Ukraine has not yet reported on the incident.
Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various weapons including drones and artillery.
