The Ukrainian defense forces have commenced operations with the new drone-rocket «Palianytsia» targeting military warehouses of the Russian occupying forces. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press briefing.
The President noted that there have already been «dozens» of uses of this Ukrainian technology against enemy installations.
«The drone-rocket «Palianytsia» has demonstrated its effectiveness by striking enemy military warehouses in numerous instances. This is a positive development, as previously we were only dealing with isolated cases», – emphasized Zelensky.
Recently, certain technical specifications of the upgraded drone-rocket «Palianytsia» were disclosed, which was showcased at the international defense exhibition MSPO in Poland at the beginning of September.
With a length of 3.5 meters and a wingspan of 1.7 meters, its total weight is 320 kilograms, of which 100 kilograms is allocated for the warhead.
The «Palianytsia» is claimed to have a flight range of up to 650 kilometers, reaching a maximum speed of 900 km/h thanks to its turbojet engine. The flight altitude varies between 15 and 500 meters, and launch occurs using a solid-fuel rocket booster.
